Oh Universe Sing in Reverse is a short drama about grief, memory, and the enduring connection between a parent and child. The film follows Daniel as he returns to his childhood home following his mother’s death, discovering a box of photographs, keepsakes, and a final recording she left for him.

Moving between the present and hazy fragments of memory, the film explores Daniel’s complicated relationship with his mother — the warmth they shared, the distance that grew between them, and the regret left behind after her passing. Through familiar objects and recollections of ordinary moments, the house becomes a space where past and present begin to overlap.

As Daniel listens to his mother’s final message, he is forced to confront the weight of their separation and the love that remained despite it. Oh Universe Sing in Reverse is ultimately a quiet reflection on loss, forgiveness, and the memories we carry with us after someone is gone.
