BEHIND EVERY SACRIFICE, IS A BREAKING POINT

Faultline explores the unseen emotional realities of first-generation (Gen 1.5) youth in Aotearoa. When a young person’s identity is tied completely to achievement, what happens when the dream they built their life around collapses? Looking past traditional markers of success, the film highlights the weight of expectation and the moment a family’s shared sacrifice becomes a quiet burden. Through Charlie’s unravelling, Faultline confronts isolation within the closest of family dynamics and the courage it takes to admit you are breaking.
